Designing a Digital Community for Hustlers, Builders, and Dreamers
Product Concept & My Role
Jugaad Valley is a mobile-only web app designed to empower entrepreneurs across India’s growing innovation ecosystem. Blending the spirit of jugaad (frugal creativity) with the community potential of Silicon Valley, the platform helps users discover opportunities, find collaborators, and showcase their work — all from their phones.
I led the UX and interface design for the full product, creating mobile-first flows across onboarding, user profiles, opportunity cards, community feeds, and match-driven connection features.
UX Features & Design System
The design had to feel playful, purposeful, and frictionless — allowing users to navigate intuitively on mobile browsers without sacrificing depth.
Visual Identity: A friendly, vibrant pink palette with soft illustrations to feel energetic and welcoming
Welcome & Onboarding: “Bring your ideas to life” screens with animated visuals, warm messaging, and quick-start navigation
User Profiles: Designed modular bios with work experience, interests, and connect buttons
Opportunities Browser: Skill-sharing, mentoring, and startup listings presented in a scrollable card layout
Community Navigation: Tabs like Projects, Events, Mentors, and Community ensure structure without complexity
Web App Feel, App-like Behavior: Designed for mobile use with progressive loading, sticky headers, and app-style interactions — without the need for an install
